A day like
in a Western movie!
Today we
left Henderson (near Las Vegas) to drive to Williams, a small town in Arizona
right on Route 66. When we arrived around noon time, we had lunch at a
restaurant there. After, we had free time to go through all these Wild West/Cowboy
and of course souvenir stores. It felt like in a Western movie! There were
stores which sold belts with a pocket for a gun and cow skins. Native jewelry
and dream catchers, Harley Davidson leather jackets for bikers and of course
lots of cowboy hats and Route 66 Souvenirs. It was a so much fun just to walk
around and imagine that most of the western movies could have been filmed here!
Lots of
bags of Pin’s and souvenir’s later we left to our hotel, just a bit outside of
Williams. We had time to spend in the pool, hot tub, Volleyball or Tennis court
or just to relax in the sun.
For
Dinner we had a great picnic outside and all three exchange student, who are
having their birthday on this trip got a cake (they were so delicious!). Before
we went to bed we just had free time to hang-out and some people also went into
the hot-tub.
Tomorrow
we will go to the Grand Canyon!
Good
night,
Carolin
Christ (Germany)
